Bail Out U.S. Automakers? NO!

Seeing the Law of Comparative Advantage at work against the U.S. Auto Industry’s grossly inefficient operating mindset is a victory for free market supporters such as myself.  As a refresher course for those who vaguely understand this Law, Japan, i.e.Toyota and Honda, obviously has a competitive advantage in making cars better than most other countries and should stick with doing what they do best while the U.S.A. should stick with it does best which is obviously NOT making cars!!

Those who don’t understand the painful evolution of this Law are begging the U.S. Government to bailout this grossly inefficient industry when it should have died off years ago.  What about all the lost jobs? This will surely cripple the U.S. economy!!

However, no one is paying attention to the fact that, while a totally inefficient, U.S. auto factory goes bye bye, another foreign-owned auto factory is built in its place, and YES, right on U.S. soil.  How many jobs are provided by a new Toyota or Hyundai factory in the U.S.?

I think more people need to understand this proposed bailout for what it is: a total scam.  U.S. automaker lobbyists are just jumping on the bailout wagon while the getting is good. Don’t fall prey to this opinion and just say NO to bailing out an industry that in simple terms just cannot compete anymore.  I say get the U.S. auto industry off life support and let it die.

Any further thoughts on this?
